Who is Dr. David Schneider?

Surgeon

A board-certified orthopedic surgeon, Dr. David Schneider, M.D. specializes in shoulder and elbow surgery. A graduate of the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Schneider completed his orthopedic training at Penn State and his sports medicine fellowship at the prestigious Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic. Dr. Schneider is also recognized as a regional expert in “Tommy John” surgery to repair elbow instability in athletes.

Speaker

A physician whose presentations are enjoyed the world over, Dr. Schneider is frequently asked to lecture on the history of surgery as well as appear on regional radio and TV programs nationwide. He also travels regularly to instruct shoulder and elbow courses both nationally and internationally.

Author

Dr. Schneider’s first book, “The Invention of Surgery,” is a detailed account of the surgical practice, highlighting the contributions of the most dynamic figures from medical history — from Hippocrates to our cyborg future.
